In the Democratic U.S. Senate primary, Ed Markey outpolled Seth Moulton here 2,518 to 2,219, while Dan Koh led the 6th Congressional District field with 2,014 votes to Tram Nguyen's 1,233. Kate Lipper-Garabedian led the 5th Middlesex State Senate race, which is effectively decided with no Republican on the November ballot.
